![]() ![]() Generally, the more routinely Corte-Clean® is initially applied, less & less is applied, the more time, labor & money is generally ultimately saved. This is why most, if not all, composite manufacturers recommend & Corte-Clean® was designed for semi-annual cleaning, “at least twice yearly, spring & fall, or when stains appear”, to keep composites clean. Once composites are thoroughly Corte-Cleaned® of their inherent flaw and/or the numerous problems caused by the previous use of other cleaners, p roactively routinely using Corte-Clean®, at the reduced “routine cleaning” strength, to remove new stains & stain causing derbies, such as mold spores (seeds) that have landed since. Failure to properly thoroughly clean composites made from exposed wood fibers of what is known as “tannin bleeding”, & especially those additionally made from dirty recycled plastic (milk jugs, shrink wrap, cheese wrappers, etc.), of this & other dead organic dirty matter that lands on composites from which molds, mildews, lichens, mosses & algae can feed has resulted in them being infamously notorious for fungi growth, & rapid re-growth, especially if THE CHLORINE BLEACH SCAM or common scandalous sodium hypochlorite based deck cleaners have been previously used. These composites aren’t capped with an outer layer of Poly “Vinyl” Chloride (PVC) plastic, therefor, sodium hypochlorite based products, such as Olympic ® Deck Cleaner, and other deck cleaning products which label directions state only “vinyl” plastic shouldn’t be recommended or used unless one wishes to ignore this & other cleaning products label directions, especially those that contain the biocide sodium hypochlorite regardless of who recommends or sells them.Ĭorte-Clean® was designed to be used from the time composites are new, throughout their life-cycle, which is generally the length of their warranty. Examples of these infamous composites known for mold are Trex Accents®, Trex Origins®, Trex Contours®, Trex Profiles®, Trex Brasilia®, TimberTech ReliaBoard ® & DockSider ®, Lowe’s ® ChoiceDek ®, MoistureShield ®, Home Depot ® Veranda ®, Fiberon ®, etc. These 1st generation composites were generally produced & installed from the 1990’s through approximately 2015 +/- depending on the manufacturer. Problematic composites are most commonly made partially from virgin or recycled polyethylene (PE) plastic & exposed wood. Corte*Clean® does not have the additional cost, labor or risks of using multiple non-compatible corrosive to structural metal decking hardware cleaning chemicals like those that contain sodium hypochlorite or oxalic acid while voiding these products warranties, early replacement or structural failure! It doesn’t contain ammonia like liquid dish-washing detergents which additionally can off-gas toxic fumes when dangerously used in conjunction with other cleaning chemicals, specifically sodium hypochlorite, to clean porous composites. Corte*Clean® does not contain sodium hypochlorite, which is scientifically known to exacerbate mold problems, corrode structural metal decking hardware & excessively chlorine bleach composites color beyond what composite manufacturers disclose under “weathering” in their literature the 2nd biggest complaint/warranty claim in the composite decking industry behind rapidly returning mold stains, which is commonly caused by the previous use of sodium hypochlorite. Corte*Clean® has been a “Care & Cleaning Guide” and/or “Mold Technical Bulle tin” composite manufacturer recommended cleaning product by the major composite manufacturers. NO CHLORINE BLEACH! Sodium Hypochlorite causes the #1 COMPLAINTS & SAFETY ISSUES.Ĭorte*Clean® is the original proven cost effective non-corrosive to structural metal decking hardware 100% biodegradable eco responsible proprietary formula FOR CLEANING ALL COMMON STAINS with an emphasis on those caused by molds. Why Do Composite Manufacturers Recommend Multiple Cleaning Chemicals?Ĭorte*Clean® Composite Deck Cleaner Since 2006! Corte*Clean® is how to clean stains caused by mold & mildew, black spots, green slime, sap, grease, oil, barbecue, tannin, leaf, pine needle, chalk, berries, blood, sunscreen, olive oil, citronella candle oil, peanut butter, red wine, pet food & waste, hard water, grass, ground in dirt, clay, brick, flower pot, rust, grime, & most other stains that can deeply root or saturate into the porous surfaces of composites that are generally made from exposed wood fiber & plastic.Cleaning Chemical Product Price Comparisons. ![]() Recommendation & Use of Multiple Non-Compatible Cleaning Chemicals can be DANGEROUS!.Oxalic Acid can be Corrosive to Structural Metal Decking Hardware Too!. ![]()
