In 2017, 48 years after releasing his first (and only) solo album, Bryant got back into the studio to record Don’t Give Up on Love. He is also married to Ann Peebles, who he co-wrote the classic “I Can’t Stand the Rain,” which would later be sampled by Missy Elliott on her hip hop hit “The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly).” You might think he got his shot at performing but it just didn’t work out. He is credited with writing as many as 154 songs. Bryant released a solo album back in 1969 called Precious Soul only to take off as one of top staff writers for Hi Records (home of Al Green and Otis Clay). You might not know who Don Bryant is but you probably know his work. Played in the right time and space, it is a jewel. Its orbit is so powerful that it can draw in unprepared listeners. By the time we get to “Ships in the Night,” Andrews can admit to her onetime love “I know you felt the same way/but the timing wasn’t right.”Īndrews captures her pain so elegantly and perfectly on Old Flowers it is nearly impossible not to be moved. These wistful memories give way to the devastation of “Carnival Dream” and a cascading drum part that reinforces the hurt. The ache behind the delicate melody is teased out by what sounds like the ghosts of piano keys in the background that ultimately swells into an organ that consumes the track. Old Flowers opens with “Burlap String,” which sounds like an outtake from Neil Young’s Harvest and sets the scene of “a family and a house/where the memories of us belong.” The enchanting “If I Told” is a beautiful tale of longing that captures the spark of a new relationship. Song cycles about heartbreak are nothing new, but Andrews makes her worthwhile addition to this vast cannon with a hushed production that rewards close – and repeated – listens and an eye for detail, like dancing in Nashville and walking on Venice Beach under a full moon. Phoenix-born singer/songwriter Courtney Marie Andrews bares her crushed soul on Old Flowers. The program that we are going to use is Putty, it is a Windows program, but in Linux it works perfectly using the WINE utility. Once we have the SSH server running, we proceed to configure the client. This SSH tunnel that we are going to create only encrypts the communications if we configure a Proxy in our browser, the tests have been done with Firefox. This method does not encrypt the services of MSN, Skype, or similar if we have not previously configured in these programs the use of a proxy server. If we want to encrypt absolutely EVERYTHING, including these services, we must follow the How to create OpenVPN. In this tutorial I will explain how to create an SSH tunnel and be able to surf the web in a secure way as if we were in our home. The tutorial that I present is valid for both Windows and Linux, although in Linux there is a command that saves you many unnecessary steps. Browsing The Web Through An SSH Tunnel (Putty / Firefox) If all you need to secure is your web browsing, there is a simple alternative: a SOCKS 5 proxy tunnel. The simple solution is a VPN, but most VPNs requires a client software on your PC, and you may not have administrative rights to install the software. You want to access it with secure way that no one in the middle can watch the traffic. To achieve the same with a Mac / Linux machine, PuTTY is not necessary.Sometimes you are in a network which is insecure or with an overly-restrictive firewall, and you want to access a web site. Now press connect and enter your password. Open remote desktop and enter "localhost:3391" as "Computer" and "CERN\YourNICElogin" as "User name" This requires that you have setup a localforward to a machine inside CERN with the "Source port" as port "3391" and that PuTTY is open and connected. After this firefox should be back to normal. To stop using the proxy, select "Auto-detect proxy settings for this network". Select "Manual proxy configuration" and enter "localhost" as "SOCKS Host" and "1080" as "Port".Īfter clicking OK, you should be able to access sites that are normally not available outside CERN.Īs long as these setting are active, PuTTY has to stay open and connected to lxplus for your internet connection to work. Type "proxy" in the search box at the top of the page, and click the "Settings." button under "Network Settings" In Firefox, type "about:preferences" in the adress bar and press enter. If it looks like the picture underneath, it means that the tunnel is working.Ĭonfiguring applications to use the tunnelĪs long as the window from the previous section is open, a tunnel to CERN is active. Now go back to "Session" and press "Save", then "Open" Press "Add"Ĭonnect to cerntscryo (or another machine inside the CERN network):Įnter "3391" as "Source port", the name of the machine ":3389" as "Destination" and select "Local", then press "Add" Dynamic forward (for Firefox):Įnter 1080 as "Source port", "localhost" as destination and select "Dynamic". Next, go to the "Connection > Data" tab and enter your CERN username in the "Auto-login username"Ĭontinue to "Connection > SSH > Tunnels". In order to avoid problems with this, go to the "Connection" tab and select IPv4 as "Internet protocol version" Orange / Sosh are currently having some issues with IPv6 in France ( OTG0055060). When opening PuTTY, you should see something like this:Įnter as Host Name, then choose a name for the connection and enter this in the Saved Sessions field. If you do not have PuTTY installed, it can be downloaded from this link. Note: it might take some time to create your AFS workspace if you are not already subscribed. These subscriptions can be handled from this page: In order for this to work, you need to be subscribed for AFS workspaces and LXPLUS and and Linux Services. Please see the bottom of the page for how to do the same with Mac / Linux. What are the 8 Studio Habits of Mind? 1. You’re likely doing some of these things already without even realizing it. While the habits are numbered, they are non-hierarchical and don’t need to be taught in any particular order.Ĭonsider how you might utilize each of these concepts in your own classroom. These 8 habits merge theory with practice and support learning across a range of disciplines. This thinking is essential to the arts and is best taught and learned in studio classrooms. They describe eight things students are taught in order to learn to think like artists. The Studio Habits of Mind were first identified by researchers with Harvard University’s “Project Zero” in the early 2000s. These habits extend well beyond the arts and apply across all grade levels and instructional settings. A student doesn’t need to pursue an art career to benefit from learning the 8 Studio Habits of Mind. The sexual side of the relationship plays a significant role with this aspect in the synastry chart. The Pluto person, on the other hand, has sex appeal in the eyes of the ascendant person. Galero MB 4step: 15/197=7.6%Made a mistake in original calculation of MAB from quote. Solstice is already set with +15 seconds of duration & conserve MP +6. I got to bring it out for a Dyna D run and parsed a respectable 91% accuracy for wave 1 and 2. When using Entrust, don't need Idris doesn't matter, so it's better to use solstice or Gada. If you’re in a DD party and obviously getting the same DD buffs they are using this is not as hard is it sounds. Exudation as I’m sure you know is terrible unless you have woefully low attack ratio. Something else I found interesting is for choice of WS i went with judgement as it scales decently with TP and has a much higher ceiling and consistency than either hexa or realmrazer. Have to swap out of it and drop TP is just too much hassle if you already have to stop time from DDing to renew indi and replace geo bubbles constantly if camp moves often like Dynamis. Thankfully, Alicia has Stupid Pills on hand (who doesn't?) which can reduce your intelligence level to that of a mere monster, paving the way for a grand expedition! You must stop Dorothy and the guardians to regain control of the Tower of Oz! However, the Tower of Oz's guardians, whom Alicia created and modeled after her favorite childhood story, grew too powerful for her to control, and are now running amok. (You can experience the story of Alicia and Ryude in Grand Athenaeum Chapter IV: Winter Bard.) With his help, Alicia was able to protect many stupid monster lives from the Black Mage! 800 years ago, Alicia, the Transcendent of Life of Maple World, created the Tower of Oz with the help of the Winter Bard, Ryude. It's just a matter of how much time you are willing to spend for one boss initially. Darknessfalls is still very hard even on casual difficulty. If you want to skip this step then you will probably have to drop in difficulty for T1. You probably need at least 8 angelic souls which equates to salvaging 400 legendary items and they usually only drop from bosses. However if you wish to continue with Darknessfalls on Elite then you have to soulcraft your T0 gear which takes a long time. Try farming Derinkuyu on elite difficulty first. Embersteps is probably the best for leveling and also the most engaging. Otherwise I'd suggest leveling on casual difficulty or even skipping leveling via console after you're finished with the story at around lvl 50. If you are into very grindy gameplay and plan on playing one or more months then go with elite. The mod says it's balanced around elite difficulty but I advise against playing everything on elite. farm and soulcraft T1 gear in the Darknessfalls raid until you get bored One of these improvements is that the mod adds and actual endgame with a really good progression system and a lot of different items and item sets to play around with. With synergies mod though there are a lot of improvements to make the game still worthwhile. To be honest Vanilla TL2 is garbage by todays standards. Because of this I wanted to share some of the things I've learned about the mod that will maybe enhance your experience with it. Since all the forums are down and even the base mechanics of torchlight 2 aren't really explained well anywhere your most powerful tool becomes the wayback machine. First of all half of the fun playing this comes from figuring things like mechanics and builds out on your own. So for anyone still deciding to give into nostalgia and play TL2 with synergies I kinda wanted to make a review on it.
